Formentera day
The full crossing: Ses Illetes, a long lunch, and the coves on the way home. Eight hours is what this one needs.
- Duration
- 8 hours
Three days we run more than any other. Each one is private, and each one bends to what you feel like on the morning.
An Ibiza boat trip can mean three quite different days out of the same fleet. The boat you want depends far more on how you intend to spend the hours than on how many metres it measures.
The full crossing: Ses Illetes, a long lunch, and the coves on the way home. Eight hours is what this one needs.
Out at golden hour along the west coast, engines off for the last twenty minutes. On request, no rush.
Three or four anchorages in an afternoon, paddleboards down at every stop. Best on a calm day.
The full eight hours, pointed south. Espalmador first, lunch at Ses Illetes, the quieter coves on the way home. It is the day most first-time charterers book and the one the fleet is built around. Details and timings are on the Formentera trip page.
Arranged on request rather than sold as a fixed product, because the hour changes through the season. The west coast is the place to be: anchored off Cala Conta or under Es Vedrà with drinks on board as the light goes. The Vanquish VQ88 and the Fjord 50 are the two we suggest most, both open boats with nothing between you and the sky.
For groups who would rather swim in four places than sit in one. The south coast strings Cala Jondal, Sa Caleta and Es Cavallet close enough together to visit all three, with paddleboards and snorkels out at each stop. Something quick suits this best — see the speedboat fleet.
Birthdays, anniversaries and small groups marking something. The larger crewed yachts have the deck space and the service to make a day of it; the Leopard 107 is the one we put forward most often. Catering and toys are added when you book.
Pick a boat from the fleet or ask our team which one fits the day you are describing. The FAQ page answers the practical questions first.
It depends on the month, because the sun does. We work backwards from the actual sunset time on your date so that you are anchored in the right place before the light starts to change.
Yes. Our standard product is the eight-hour day; sunset trips are shorter and arranged individually, so ask for a quote rather than expecting a fixed rate.
On most boats, yes. Sound systems vary across the fleet, so mention it when you enquire and we will confirm what is on the boat you have chosen.
Eight hours is enough for one or the other done well. Trying to do both usually means spending the day moving rather than swimming, and the skipper will say so.
Twelve guests, on the largest yachts. That is a hard limit rather than a guideline, and it is set by each boat’s licence rather than by us. If a party is what you are planning, the private boat party page sets out what the day costs and how two boats work for a larger group.
Choosing between the three is easier with a season in mind: the Ibiza charter blog covers the months, the coves worth the detour and what a group typically spends on a day out.
The full crossing. Anchor off the sandbank at Ses Illetes, eat on board or walk up to a beach restaurant, then take the quiet coves on the way home.
Out along the west coast at golden hour, engines off for the last stretch. On request, back in time for dinner.
Three or four anchorages in an afternoon with the paddleboards down at every stop. The one to pick when the group wants to swim more than travel.
