Speedboats are the quickest and the most affordable way onto the water here: nine open boats between 9 and 14 metres, taking seven to eleven guests with a skipper. They plane fast, which matters more than it sounds, because Formentera is under an hour away and you spend the day at anchor instead of in transit. Every charter is private and runs a full eight hours, with skipper, insurance, towels, snorkels and VAT at 21 per cent included and fuel settled on the day.
